Day 17

Hold still Grinder this is the last day.

secret meeting place to watch the game, eh?

Canada takes first blood, red # eh?

and the second period has started eh?

Goal 2 for Canada eh?

We won gold today, amazing time at the pub. Canada won gold and Keith would have wanted to be there, I was for him. ♥ The city has gone nuts, as it should, just saw Younge and Dundas, they have been closed off.

A demo at Hastings and Main has shut down a large section of the east side, with Cambie closed for the closing ceremonies.

day 16

I woke up this morning and found twitter covered in tweets and retweets from CNN and others regarding an 8.8 earthquake in Chile and an alarm going of on the Hawaiian islands for a Tsunami heading throughout the Pacific Basin and Grinder checking out birds.

got it covered, also cat food and litter for Grinder The Cat.

W2 is having a party

Sometimes the camera just takes the photo found this untaken photo loaded in to my computer, must have taken it while trying to load in photos.

While walking back to my car the streets were alive in Gastown, amazing colours and people. We must have gone down the Rabbit Hole.

The people in the lineup to Gastown bars are wearing Canadian Flags, Go Canada Go.

day 15

Grinder and I are not up yet. Well to be fair Grinder has been up and about and is now back to stand on my hair.

I was home most of today and then I decided to just head out to Robson Street and look around. Watched curling on the street.

Vancouver Police in Goal for street hockey, very cool.

Critical Mass set out from at Art Gallery

The rain made everything shine downtown, I came home to watch the hockey but I am sure Vancouver caused a bit of noise when we held on and won tonight. Next game noon Sunday.

Day 14

The sun is out today, too bright to sleep in and Grinder is wanting something, he just waits. Waiting involves standing on my hair when I am trying to sleep, licking my face and only going back to sleep after I have woken up for sure. I know I am lucky to have such a cat. ♥

I have very little knowledge regarding curling but I love the rings. But I know when the yellow rolled out and only one in the rings for Switzerland, Canada wins. We play for the gold metal 3 PM Friday. That was quite a game.

I just heard on the news that New York City is expecting 2 feet of snow today, now this photo was from Dec 2008 big storm, I measured 18 inches of snow. The thing about NYC, is they have no where to push the snow to. What they do is truck it and dump it into the east river. Two feet mmm....

DAY 13

It's raining it's poring, shit. Grinder has been trying to wake me up for about the last 1 to 2 hours. He has got me up and down to the kitchen. Now I need to make coffee and feed him. On the positive side the colours of the street scene outside my window are much more saturated and rich than when the sun is out, but..... it's raining and I hear, snowing on the mountains.

checking the car floor mat, oh ya it's a Mazda, never mind

Here we go

great win by Canada hockey

I love the lights in the sky

Today finds Grinder plugged in to the Olympics, as we wait for more gold.

not snow but flowers

This ad shows ground Bison to make burgers but no mention of a 2 hour line up.

They are everywhere.

Today I took the skytrain to see the torch.

The weather has taken a turn to rain and cold, I have the heater on and Grinder is sleeping, figure skating just ending for the night, and day 12 almost gone now.

Day 11

Grinder The Cat and I are waiting for the warm up 10 degrees today and in the kitchen we have the gas heater on for now.

Is this spring out there? or winter?

I found this on the beach today.

You can not sail into false creek past this area under the Burrard Bridge.
